Annalise is an enthusiastic, energetic and eclectic classical and jazz violinist based in Bristol. As a child, she studied classical violin as a junior student at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and subsequently gained her dipABRSM in December 2012.

She has recently completed her music degree from the University of Bristol, where she played with the University of Bristol’s Symphony Orchestra and the Compass Quartet. During her university studies, she discovered her love for jazz violin and began playing with various bands including Immigrant Swing, Julia Turner and Swing Fromage. As part of these projects, Annalise has gained lots of experience playing in many venues in Bristol and further afield, such as in Bestival and Boomtown festivals.

Although her love for classical violin will always remain at the core of her style, Annalise wants to push the boundaries of the violin to new depths. She hopes to begin further postgraduate studies in Jazz violin next year.
